The subdivision has an active homeowners' association and the governing documents can be found here.

Upon initial development of the Farmingdale subdivision, Richmond Brothers Construction established bylaws and deed restrictions for the neighborhood. In April 2009, the homeowners association was developed by Ray Kerr & Associates. The purpose of this was turn the upkeep of the common properties over to the association. The purpose of the association is to perform functions for the common good and general welfare of the subdivision. The association is a non-profit organization and operated by volunteerism of residents of the subdivision. The association is incorporated with the Tennessee Secertary of States office.
